Support for Nursing
Education
One of the ways
CNF meets its purpose and goals is to provide funding for a variety
of nursing education activities. Examples of funding for educational
activities include support of the CE Day at the CNA Annual
Convention, support of the Annual Rocky Mountain Regional
Multidisciplinary Research and Evidence-Based Symposium, support of
the International Conference on Caring, support of The Children's
Hospital Evidence Based Practice Poster Fair, and support of the
Colorado Nurses Association New Graduate Education Activity and Job
Fair. Requests for funding may be made by nursing and health
related individuals and organizations.
Funding for Educational Activities
CNF is
a foundation devoted to creating nursing excellence through
the promotion of educational and scientific activities and
community based projects.
The
goals of the Colorado Nurses Foundation are to:

Conduct and support health related projects that benefit
consumers and enhance the image of nursing,
-
Enhance nursing excellence,
-
Conduct educational programs related to nursing and
health,
-
Promote unified action by nursing and health care
organizations,
-
Support educational scholarships,
-
Foster creativity and innovation in nurses and their
practice,

Provide a mechanism for nurses and nursing organizations
to obtain funding for projects and research..jpg)
CNF
provides funding for a variety of nursing education
activities. Requests for funding will be evaluated on the
basis of the following:
-
Funding will be made only to nursing and health related
individuals and organizations
-
Funds must be used to provide educational activities
that are available to nurses in the
state of Colorado;

The
educational activity must be related to the purpose and
goals of CNF;
-
Requests
must be made at least 60 days prior to the activity and
will not be considered after the activity has been held;
-
Requests will not be considered for individual
scholarships.

Grants
Individuals and
organizations may apply to CNF for grants for educational and
scientific activities and community based projects. Examples of
projects which have received grant funding from CNF include research
on smoking cessation, development of educational materials about the
role of Advanced Practice Nurses, and support for purchase of
educational materials for at-risk teens at a crisis center.
